Please advise me.
I am in USA on the K-1 visa. Alredy married and filed documents with INS.
Now I am in the process of getting Green Card.
Questions:
1 Is it possible to bring parents to the US sooner that I will become the citizen ? I heard that they have to have some business or property in America in order to try and get the Grean Card.
2 How much time it ussually takes to get the Green Card for somebody like me ?
3 Driver's License... Me and my husband, we went to MVA, where I was supposed to puss the driver's test and they told us that I AM NOT ABLE TO GET THE DRIVER"S LICENSE because the VISA is expired. BUT ( as i told them) I have documents that tell about the process of appying for the green card. There is no visa needed anymore. I am married. And I have Russian and International Driver's licence.
PLEASE, help me with all these questions. I will appreciate your help VERY MUCH !

Here are the answers:
1. No, unless they come on a regular visitor's visa.
2. It depends on the state. Usually, 8-18 months from the date of filing.
3. We do not have this information. |
